Jeremiah Tijerina is a photographer and multidisciplinary artist from Alpine, Texas, currently pursuing a BFA in Photography at Texas State University. Growing up in West Texas has deeply influenced his relationship with landscape, memory, and identity. His work often explores the connection between people and the environments they inhabit, using photography to reflect on belonging, personal history, and the idea of home. Working across digital and analog photography, alternative processes, and sculpture, Tijerina explores how images can move beyond the traditional photograph to become physical objects. His practice is rooted in observation and personal experience, often returning to the landscapes and communities of West Texas that continue to shape his understanding of himself and his work.
